Dr. Tomasz Biernacki DPM: [Podiatrist, Wound Care & Foot Doctor]

Dr. Tom Biernacki DPM is a podiatrist in Oakland County Michigan & Berkley Michigan. We can help with your foot & ankle pain!

Thank You For Being My Patient:

  • I take great pride, and I am very humbled that you would let me care for you and fix your foot and ankle problems.
  • There is no greater honor than being able to take care of your health.
  • Treating your health conditions is a privilege that I remember and am grateful for every single day, it is my pledge that I will treat you no different than I would my mother or father.
  • Thank you for considering to be my patient!

My Background:

  • From a very young age, I always knew that I want to be a doctor. Medicine runs in my family, my dad was in the bio-medical field, and my aunts and uncles were also physicians. I remember from a young age being exposed to the hospital environment, and it was instilled in me that helping people would be one of my driving forces throughout life!
  • When I was young, my family went through a period of transition, my parents, sibling and I escaped Poland with little to no money as communism swept across the country. We moved to Germany and after staying there for a few years. With some amazing and generous family help, we were able to find work in Canada.
  • At around high school age I made my way south down to Tennessee to attend the University of Memphis Tennessee to complete a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry.  I moved back to the Michigan area to pursue a biochemistry Master’s degree in the University of Windsor just across the Detroit River from Michigan! At that time, I was exposed to volunteering in the hospital environment, and playing college football.
  • At this time, I met my amazing wife Christina who would forever lock me into the Detroit Michigan area. My travels were not over, I decided to pursue a fantastic medical opportunity as podiatrist. I embarked upon a four-year medical degree, which I completed at the Kent State University of podiatric medicine, this was associated with Cleveland University hospitals and the Cleveland clinic hospital.
  • I then did a little bit more traveling, completing my surgical residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Ann Arbor and Livonia the next four years. I then completed two rounds of fellowship training at the University of Texas, and a second fellowship stint at St. Joseph presence Hospital in downtown Chicago. Following this 15+ years of training, I have been blessed to traveled to learn from some of the most amazing and well-known foot and ankle surgeons in the world! These courses and training programs have had a major part in shaping our practice and their treatment protocols.
  • My wife, Christina and I have two beautiful daughters. They are currently at a very young age, but we do own a house and live in Livingston County. We pride ourselves as being a part of the community, in more ways than just being your foot and ankle specialist! My wife Christina is a hospital-based dietitian, who specializes in diabetes, as well as heart and kidney diseases. We are very close family, we have always made it a point to be together a dinner every night. We have stayed in the Michigan area as our family is currently here, and there is nowhere else we would rather be!

Treatment Goals for You:

  • As a podiatric physician, my primary goal is to save you as much money as possible, use as little medication or surgery as possible, and to get you back working and walking as soon as possible!
  • The best way to usually do this, is to avoid any procedures or surgery. For the vast majority of the problems we see, there is a nonsurgical solution. By avoiding surgery, we can at least get you somewhat better first!
  • This is the true benefit of seeing a podiatrist, we are able to see problems from a non-surgery and non-procedure or medication route first, but if the need is there, are very well trained in foot and ankle procedures. This is the main difference of seeing a podiatrist, we focus on doing as little invasive as possible. We are not dependent on the hospital or the surgery center making money! Our most important consideration is you!

My Pledge To You:

  • I take great pride, and I am very humbled that you would let me care for you and fix your foot and ankle problems.
  • There is no greater honor than being able to take care of your health.
  • Treating your health conditions is a privilege that I remember and am grateful for every single day, it is my pledge that I will treat you no different than I would my mother or father, brother or sister.
  • Treating your foot and ankle pain is a privilege, one that I am grateful for every single day. There is nothing else I would rather be doing!

  1. Hi,

I came in for an appt with Dr. Tom B on 3/20/2023. He gave me a pair of his orthotics and told me if I needed additional pairs to simply call the office (they would be mailed to me).

I called the office on 3/23/23 and requested additional pairs. I am still waiting for a callback.

I really need 3 more pairs because I change shoes often due to Michigan weather and dog-walking. I will pay for the orthotics and the postage.

Can someone call me back at (949) 922-2623 or email me at robin4law@gmail.com. ???

    Thanks, Robin Buchanan

  2. Dr. Berniacki: The post office is holding a package for you over at Mt. Holly. You’re always pimping a book, and so am I – so I sent you a copy. Like your stuff on youtube, it’s free – possibly for the same reason – I can’t give it away!

    Get your mail!

    Regards,

  3. Im watching your videos on YT… Im happy that Im learning a lot and getting much information. I have DM2 , 50yo from the Philippines.

  4. Dr. Biernacki,
My wife was a patient of yours at Legend Health and would like to see you if you’re still practicing in Michigan.

  5. HI Dr. Bernacki,
Where are you practicing now? You’ve helped me before and I’d like to see you again.
    Thanks, Denise

  6. Paging Dr Tom! Paging Dr Tom! (All kinds of women are looking for him. That bedside manner!! Those CR-R-R-A-A-A-Z-Z-Z-E-E-E ankles!!!) Seriously, he has offices all over Michigan. Have you tried looking him up on Google?! Can you READ?! Really, Denise….

  7. I have been trying to reach Dr Biernacki and have been unsuccessful. No informatio n was given to me other than he was not in practice at the Clawson location.

  8. You and everyone else want to reach this man – and can you blame them! So charismatic, so photogenic, that smile, and – last but not least – those CR-R-A-Z-Z-E-E-E ankles! He rules youtube, and is it surprising? He’s so media savvy! Such an influencer! “Graves Ghastly” meets “Captain Kangaroo” meets “Top Gun: Maverick” – with cameo appearances by his lanky sidekick charmer Dominic (a skeleton, and secret “long-term companion,” if you know what I mean – nudge! nudge! wink! wink!). Trouble is, however desirable the Good Doc’s even more ELUSIVE. He’s in the world, frisbee in hand, wowing the chicks in a park somewhere – catching it between his toes. Something about planar fasciitis and chick-bait. Have you thought of getting a dog, one that likes to chase frisbee’s? No doubt at the end of it he’ll eventually find Dr Biernacki, barefoot and smiling, even in January….

  9. Me too! After he discovered “basketball” he dropped me. Hey! I’m not just another stupid jock! I’m a published author!!

Next year I could be your PRESIDENT!!

PS I’ve tried every Polish Hall Massage Parlor in Michigan. He cannot be found.

  10. Yes, he is charismatic, but mostly he’s a really, really good podiatrist. FYI, Anonymous, the Clawson office says that he no longer works there and that they have no idea where he works. (I’ve had to go to a different podiatrist. Wearing a boot as we speak.) Yes, I can read, and sometime I can even write. And my interest is purely professional as I’m certain he is younger than my younger son. He is just one of a kind, so those of us who visited him in Clawson are disappointed. Hoping not to need a podiatrist again any time soon. Stormy, keep searching. If nothing else you might get a good Polish massage before your next presidential term.

  11. Dr. Biernacki,

It’s James G. I hope all is well! I hear you simply dropped off the face of the earth! Of course all your patients want you back but we care for your well-being also.

  12. This is starting to sound like the premise for a movie entitled “Finding Tomas Bernacki.” I hope he’s enjoying himself in the Bahamas.

  13. Dear dr Biernacki!
I have been watching your Youtube channel regularly for a few months and it really helps me with my health issues.
For the last two years I have been suffering from some neurologic problems, including foot supination, neuropathic pain and L4-L5 degenerative disc disease.
Information from your channel helped me a lot, greatly reducing nighttime neuropathic pain (foot numbness and tingling).
I no longer need to take big doses of pregabalin (600 mg), which my neurologist prescribed me.
Your video concerning taking magnesium citrate for nerve pain relief was espacially helpful for me.
I am really grateful for your help and I am waiting for your new videos.
    Best wishes,
    Irek

PS. I have one last question – do you have any links with Poland? Your family name suggests so.
